Hexagon Energy Interns Reach Solar District Cup Challenge Final

A UVA team featuring former Hexagon interns Roger Zhu and Caitlinh Nguyen has reached the final of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar District Cup Challenge. The team, which is mentored by Hexagon’s Director of Engineering, Nick Ford, designed a rooftop solar energy system for a five-block site in Arlington, Virginia, with the goal of creating a carbon neutral site. Their final design will be presented Solar and Energy Storage Southeast Conference in Atlanta, Ga. on April 19. Go Hoos!

Lumin named finalist in Incubatenergy Labs Challenge

In Palo Alto today, The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) named Lumin a finalist in the Incubatenergy© Labs Challenge. 17 out of more than 130 applicants will compete for an opportunity to bring electric power customers effective energy management solutions and utilities new tools to maintain system quality, reliability, and efficiency while supporting sector-wide decarbonization.
