Leadership Development Series
About the Series

CvilleREA’s leadership development series is designed to equip and develop clean energy leaders in Charlottesville and across the Commonwealth. Based on the philosophy that leadership can be learned, this series is designed to equip participants with tools to make effective change, grow teams, craft negotiations, and manage others well. By investing in its people, Virginia’s clean energy companies will be more competitive in the marketplace and more effective in retaining and recruiting talent.

The Remaining 2019 leadership development series includes the following sessions:

  • Managing Groups and Team Dynamics (March 26, 2019): If teams supposedly perform better than individuals, why do so many people dislike going to meetings? In this course, we’ll discuss why some teams do better than others and why some team experiences are better than others. These courses will focus on how to put together a group of people, get their buy-in, and move them toward a common, shared goal – the very definition of leadership. This course is experiential and will involve participating in group-based exercises. Click here for more information.
