C Power Awarded $2.6 Million by the U.S. Department of Energy
Columbia Power was awarded $2.6 million by the U.S. DOE to design, build, and test a commercial-ready prototype of a new type of wave energy system for powering watt-scale autonomous marine sensors. Raytheon and Siemens are participating in the project. The award was a part of the DOE's $25 million in research projects for next-generation marine energy devices, funded by its Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Water Power Technologies Office.
