New laws commit Virginia to 100% clean energy usage by 2045 and bind the commonwealth to the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. There’s even talk of a Green New Deal for Virginia — building an economy focused on sustainability, climate protection and environmental stewardship.
Gov. Ralph Northam sailed out to check on the project last week and, in a statement, said, ‘Virginia has a unique opportunity to become a national leader in offshore wind technology, management and deployment.’”
